St. John's Library

The Evening Book Club began as an idea – for those of us who are not available in the mornings to have a space to come together, read, and talk about books!

We will meet on the fourth Thursday of each month. Leave the kiddos at home and enjoy a good book with friends! You do not have to have read the book to come to your first meeting! Join us for fun discussion!

What Do You Read?

We agreed on more lighthearted genres. Suspense and Mystery are fine, but no tragedies or horror. Life is heavy enough already! Books are usually 500 pages or less, though for the longer ones, we may split the reading between two months.

How Are Books Chosen?

Each month, members can bring up to two book suggestions for the next month. All suggestions must have an audio book. After our monthly discussion, group members present their recommendations. From that, the next month’s is drawn at random. We have an excel sheet, linked below, of all the books that have been recommended during book club. You may use it as a resource!

When Do You Meet?

We meet on the fourth Thursday of every month at 6:00 pm in the Church Library!

This Month’s Book:
